[BIBLIOPHILIA - DAUPHINÉ - MANUSCRIPT].
“Books currently found // in my library. September 16, 1785. ” A manuscript of approximately 90 pages from the late 18th century, in one in-12 volume, with a soft ivory vellum cover featuring a wide flap and a ribbon (contemporary binding).

A handwritten inventory of a private library, compiled on the eve of the Revolution by a bibliophile from the Dauphiné region.
The bibliophile listed the books he purchased at auctions: “books purchased at Mr. Létourneau’s sale,” “Further books purchased at the sale of the Bouvier Library on July 24, 1786,” “Books I purchased at the sale of the library of Mr. de Sauzin, Counselor to Parliament, in March 1787,” as well as those he bought from booksellers: “Mr. Brette, bookseller in Grenoble,” “Mr. Giroud, bookseller in Grenoble,” “Falcon, bookseller in Grenoble,” or even: “purchased from traveling booksellers.” The prices of the purchased books are noted. We also find: “books taken from my father in May 1786.” ”
This is a library typical of the late 18th century, with a clear predominance of works in the humanities, secular history, and philosophy. Several of the books listed were published in Grenoble and deal with the history of the Dauphiné region.
