The First Part. Part. I. Being a Discourse of Rivers, Fish-ponds, Fish, & Fishing. London, Printed for R. Marriot, and are to be sold by Charles Harper, 1676. Small in-12 (87 x 142 mm), brown basane, double framing of fillets and cold lace decorating the boards, fleurons at the corners and in the center, ornate ribbed spine (19th c. pastiche binding).
First part only (of three).

One title vignette & ten small fish engravings in text; two pages of musical scores "The Anglers Song."
Our copy has a recomposed title reinforced by laminating, formed in two parts: the upper part with the title vignette and the lower part from the "half-title" bearing the address "London, Printed for R. Marriot, and are to be sold by Charles Harper" described by Westwood.
Spine rebacked; copy short of margin (with loss of text on pp. 223/224); some foxing and minor dampstaining, notably on title.
