London, Printed only for Thomas Hope, and sold by him and Sackville Parker, at Oxford, Richard Matthews, at Cambridge, and Samuel Trimmer, at Derby, 1760. 2 parts in one volume in-8° (111 x 170 mm), calf, ornate ribbed spine (English binding of the period). Two parts in one volume with separate paginations: - LVI + XXII + 303 + [I] pp. & -- XLVIII + IV + II + IV + 128 + [VIII] pp. "To which are now prefixed, the Lives of the Authors [...] and Notes Historical, Critical and Explanatory" by Sir John Hawkins. Two frontispieces including a portrait, a vignette with the arms of Édouard Popham to whom the work is dedicated, fourteen plates engraved by RYLAND after WALE (two of which are musical scores) and seventeen vignettes in the text.
