Paris, De l'Imprimerie Royale, 1772-1788. 5 volumes in-4°, calf, triple gilt fillet framing the covers, ornate ribbed spines, gilt edges (period binding). One frontispiece engraved by SAINT-AUBIN after BOUCHER, six vignettes by CHOFFARD, including five on the titles (different on each volume) and one at the head of the dedication; one large folded genealogical table (of 2); fourteen portraits by FRAGONARD, LE MONNIER and VINCENT and 22 vignettes by MOREAU; fleurons and culs-de-lampe. One genealogical table lacking; wet stamp cut out on titles; some foxing. Minor damage to two covers. Saffroy, I, 10994.
