2 volumes in-4° (214 x 285 mm), red morocco, wide frame of gilded serrated roulettes decorating the boards, urn with flowers in the corners, ornate ribbed spines, green morocco titles and gilded edges (period binding).
FIRST ISSUE, with vignettes bearing the names in Italian.
Copy on hollande, reprinted in in-4° format.
Two frontispieces with portraits (Le Tasse & Gravelot), two titles with vignettes, a dedication leaf with the arms of the knight Giles Earle, to whom the work is dedicated, & 63 engravings (twenty hors-texte, twenty vignettes with portraits at the head of the songs, and 23 culs-de-lampe, nine of which are full-page), all engraved by BAQUOY, DUCLOS, HENRIQUEZ, LEVEAU, LINGÉE, NÉE, PONCE, SIMONET after GRAVELOT.
Some foxing; leaves slightly foxed; small tear without missing on f. Q2 of t. I.
