Paris, Société du Livre contemporain, 1918/1919. 2 parts in a large in-4° volume, dark green morocco, large personalized cold-stamped gilt decoration on covers, ornate smooth spine, gilt edges on witnesses, brown box lining with gilt decoration, color illustrated cover preserved, green half-maroquin folder with small overlaps and slipcase (G. Cretté successor to De Marius Michel).
Some text in red ink.
127 color compositions by Paul JOUVE, including seventeen hors texte, all wood-engraved by François-Louis SCHMIED, who also designed the page layout.
Edition of 125 copies on Arches vellum reserved for members of the Société des Bibliophiles "Le Livre Contemporain", this one (no. 74) printed for Mr. Th. Revillon.
