[1941]. 2 large volumes in-4°, dark green morocco, large mosaic decoration of agave leaves in black box and green and yellow morocco decorating the front cover and running down the spine, gilt edges, ochre suede lining and endpapers, illustrated covers preserved, black half-maroquin flap folder and publisher's slipcase (Creuzevault). 130 cameo and color compositions by Henri DELUERMOZ, wood-engraved by Théo SCHMIED, including eight hors-texte. Issued in an edition of 250 numbered copies and a few contributor's copies, this one (no. 30), ONE OF 50 HEADSTANDERS ON LANA VERGÉ containing an ADDITIONAL COLOR SUITE. Enriched with THREE SIGNED ORIGINAL COLOR GOUACHES (those on pages 105 & 121 of Volume I, and the last not used for illustration). One case split. A FINE COPY IN A MOSAIC BINDING SIGNED BY CREUZEVAULT. Its decoration by A. JEANNE has been extensively studied in Creuzevault, V, 382-390, where the models and binding are also reproduced.
