Asian art plays a prominent role in Libert & Associés’ auctions, reflecting a dynamic and passionate international market. This specialty encompasses a wide variety of works—ceramics, jade, scholar’s objects, lacquerware, bronzes, and paintings—from culturally rich regions such as China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Korea, India, Tibet, Nepal, and Laos.

Each piece tells a story, embodying refinement, spirituality, and artisanal craftsmanship passed down through the centuries. Whether it is a delicate Chinese ceramic, a finely crafted Vietnamese lacquer, or a deeply poetic Japanese painting, these objects captivate with their timeless beauty and cultural significance.

Libert & Associés had the privilege of presenting several remarkable pieces that reflect collectors’ growing interest in this field. Among them were a 9th-century Cambodian stoneware bust, which sold for €15,600, and a red lacquer box with compartments, dating from 18th- and 19th-century China, delicately carved with chrysanthemums, lotus flowers, and peonies, which sold for over €14,000. Similarly, a bronze vase with cloisonné enamel dating from the late Ming Dynasty was sold for €11,900, underscoring the enthusiasm for these works of great finesse.

The field of Asian painting is also experiencing remarkable growth, as evidenced by two notable results: the gouache and ink on silk by Lê Thi Luu, titled *The Older Sister*, which sold for €60,160, and the luminous *Bouquet of Flowers in a White Vase* by Lê Phổ, which sold for €53,760.

At Libert & Associés, every auction dedicated to Asian art is carefully prepared, drawing on rigorous expertise and a deep understanding of market trends.
