Founded in 1950, the LIBERT auction house is renowned for its auctions in a wide range of fields, including antique and modern paintings, furniture and works of art from the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, as well as jewellery, silverware, numismatics, militaria, photography, books and glassware.

Located in the heart of Paris at the Hôtel Drouot, the auction house offers expert appraisal services and personalised advice to its customers.

Judicial and volunteer auctioneer, Damien Libert joined the family firm, founded by his father Étienne in 1950, in 1976. For nearly five decades, he has passionately and rigorously perpetuated the values of excellence and integrity for which Libert & associés is renowned. As President of the Paris Chamber of Judicial Auctioneers and an active member of numerous artistic associations, Damien Libert is actively involved in promoting and defending his profession. His recognised expertise in both the artistic and legal fields, combined with a perfect grasp of the challenges of the art market, ensures that the firm's clients receive exceptional support. Endowed with rare human qualities, he pays particular attention to the delicate moments of partition and inheritance, offering the personalised, sympathetic support that is one of his hallmarks.

Voluntary and judicial auctioneer, qualified gemmologist, Pauline Libert, brilliantly embodies the heritage and modernity of the auction house Libert. The daughter and granddaughter of auctioneers, she grew up in the legendary corridors of the Hôtel Drouot, developing an early passion for exceptional objects. After formative experiences with a cabinetmaker in the Faubourg Saint Antoine and a painting restorer, she completed her career with degrees in Law from the Université Panthéon-Assas and in Art History from the Sorbonne and the École du Louvre. Armed with this dual expertise in law and art history, she joined the family firm in 2012 and became a partner alongside her father in 2020. Driven by undeniable human qualities, a sincere passion and constant high standards, Pauline brings her contemporary vision to bear with invaluable dynamism, ensuring that auction house Libert continues to grow and thrive, while preserving the heritage and values that have built its reputation.

A qualified auctioneer since 2012, Astrid joins Libert as a partner in 2023. With degrees in law and art history, she fell in love with the profession after her first internship at Drouot, which introduced her to the multi-faceted world of auctions and their various players. After several internships at Christie's, Neret-Minet, Doutrebente and Jakobowicz & Associés, she joined Tajan in 2013 as a specialist in Furniture and Works of Art, Ancient Paintings and Drawings, before taking over as head of the Books and Manuscripts department. It was during this decade that she honed her taste for goldsmith's and silversmith's art and Italian Mannerism, and perfected her general knowledge.
